War Was Easier is an advocacy campaign created to address the “red tape” that veterans encounter when trying to obtain benefits earned through military service. It began as a poster, then was expanded to a website and guerilla marketing campaign to appeal to a younger audience that are peers to a growing group of young veterans. The expansion strays from traditional representation that treats veterans as a faceless statistic. Instead, it focuses on the reality of each veteran’s individual story and the absurd number of days they wait for help
